The HLP-funded pathway is the primary funding route for trainees entering the programme.
Previously, obtaining HLP sponsorship was a compulsory requirement for enrolment into the programme.

The Federal Training Grant is awarded by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to potential medical officers who wish to pursue either Master’s Degree or Specialist Training in Malaysia.
Please note that the HLP funding requires a separate application for both Permanent and Contract Medical Officers.
The self-funding pathway is available on a limited basis and is subject to approval by KKM for each intake cycle.

Yes. The RM4,000 deposit for the HLP pathway is refundable according to the programme terms and conditions.
Are financial assistance options guaranteed?
No. Loan approval and financing eligibility are subject to the respective bank’s assessment and approval process.
